1. 33. Techniques of Integration L3 [2021]
Our final part on Techniques of Integration covered Integration by Parts, and consolidated with Integrated Questions to wrap up the chapter. Integration by Parts can be one of the more straightforward processes, together with Substiution. But be mindful of the following: Execute efficiently/neatly, eg using the KIID approach. Recognise the variations (start with x1, do twice, do twice and move) When to use? (Factors without a standard form, f ' and f, relationship) Additionally, the Integrated Questions showed that questions can involve more complicated versions where L.I.A.T.E is not helpful. When this happens, we looked at question flow - was there an earlier part which hinted at an integration result you can use? Also, full fledged questions will mix processes - standard forms within Parts, Parts after a Substitution, all interspesed with Trigo variations. This can sound daunting, and it is! Keep practising and building up experience, you will get there :)
